The safety button is designed to make it easy to call for help from family, friends or other close contacts when a situation arises where you need assistance quickly.
The safety button is well suited as an emergency call between relatives and vulnerable family members, because it makes it possible to react quickly in the event of a fall, illness, accidents at home or other acute situations. It can be used by both older and younger people and creates extra security in everyday life for the whole family.
It can also be used as extra security in situations where you want to be able to call for help from your loved ones quickly. For businesses, the safety button can also be relevant for employees who work alone or in exposed situations.
Important to know about the subscription
Sending alarms with the safety button requires an active Linucare Full Safety subscription. This means that the button cannot be used to send alarms without a subscription.
The people who are to receive the alarms can still connect as free recipients in the app. Your loved ones therefore do not need a paid subscription in order to receive your alarms.
How does the safety button work?
The safety button connects wirelessly via the Linucare app to a smartphone or iPhone. When the button is pressed, an alarm is sent to the chosen contacts, who receive a notification via the app. The alarm can be heard even if the phone is on silent or in do not disturb mode.
In the app, the recipients can see where the person is when the alarm is activated, as the solution uses the phone's GPS. That makes it possible for loved ones to react and help quickly. The system works all over the world, as long as the phone has power and an internet connection.
The button works via Bluetooth and must be connected to the user's smartphone in order to pass the alarm on.
App and features
The Linucare app can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store and Google Play. The app itself is free to download, and loved ones can be added as alarm recipients at no cost.
With the app you can, among other things:
- create groups and choose who should receive alarms
- use Linucare on Apple Watch
- use two-way voice during an alarm, so sender and recipients can communicate during the incident
- add mobile numbers, so alarms can also be received by SMS
- choose between 3 different alarm sounds
- see the location during an alarm via the app
The button has a battery life of up to 3 years, connects via Bluetooth and pairs automatically with the phone after the first setup.

Full Safety or free use – what is the difference?
The decisive difference is simple:
- Full Safety makes it possible to send alarms with the safety button
- Free use makes it possible to be a free recipient of alarms, but not to send them yourself via the button
All other features in the app are part of the Linucare experience, but sending the alarm itself from the safety button requires an active Full Safety subscription.
What happens after 12 months?
When the 12 months expire, your subscription renews automatically, so you can continue to use the safety button to send alarms.
If the subscription is not renewed, the safety button can no longer be used to send alarms. Your loved ones can still be connected as free recipients in the app, but the alarm function itself requires an active Full Safety subscription.
